01Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Cathena mobile application ("App"), including all AI-powered features such as the AI Assistant, Creative Studio, and Growth Journal. By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

02Description of Service

Cathena provides the following AI-powered features for cat owners:

• AI Assistant — A 24/7 conversational AI that answers questions about cat behaviour, health, nutrition, and care. Responses are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional veterinary advice.
• Creative Studio — AI image generation tools that transform your cat's photos into creative styles including ID photos, 3D figurines, and plush toy portraits.
• Growth Journal with AI Insight — A diary feature allowing you to record your cat's daily moments, with optional AI-generated insights and personalised feedback.

03User Responsibilities

By using the App, you agree to the following:

Acceptable Use

• Accurate information — You will provide truthful information when using AI features and will not attempt to mislead or manipulate the AI system.
• Personal use only — You will use the App solely for personal, non-commercial purposes unless you have obtained written permission from CatVerse Lab.
• Compliance with laws — You will use the App in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.

Prohibited Activities

• Harmful content — Uploading images or submitting content that is unlawful, harmful, offensive, or infringes on the rights of others.
• Reverse engineering — Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the App's source code, AI models, or proprietary systems.
• Automated access — Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access or abuse the App's AI features.
• Misrepresentation — Presenting AI-generated content as genuine veterinary advice, diagnosis, or professional opinion to others.
• Impersonation — Impersonating CatVerse Lab, its employees, or other users of the App.

04AI-Generated Content

Cathena uses third-party AI models to generate text responses and images. Please be aware of the following:

• Accuracy — AI-generated responses may not always be accurate, complete, or up to date. We do not warrant the accuracy of any AI output.
• Not professional advice — Nothing generated by the AI Assistant constitutes veterinary, medical, legal, or professional advice. Always seek qualified professional guidance for health concerns about your cat.
• AI image ownership — Images generated through Creative Studio are for your personal use. You may not use them for commercial purposes or claim them as original creative works without disclosing their AI-generated nature.
• Content variation — AI-generated results may vary. We do not guarantee any specific output style, quality, or resemblance to your cat's actual appearance.

05Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to the Cathena name, logo, design, text, graphics, and AI systems — are the exclusive property of CatVerse Lab and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

• Your content — You retain ownership of photos and content you upload to the App. By submitting content, you grant CatVerse Lab a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely to provide the requested AI features.
• Generated content — AI-generated images produced from your photos are provided to you for personal use. CatVerse Lab retains no ongoing rights to these generated images after delivery.
• App licence — We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

06In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Certain features of Cathena may require in-app purchases or a subscription. The following terms apply:

• Pricing — All prices are displayed in the App and are subject to change. Applicable taxes may apply depending on your location.
• Billing — Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Billing is governed by Apple's terms and conditions.
• Refunds — All purchases are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable law. For refund requests, please follow Apple's standard refund process through the App Store.
• Subscription cancellation — You may cancel a subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

07Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. CatVerse Lab does not warrant that:

• Uninterrupted service — The App will be available at all times or free from errors, bugs, or technical issues.
• Accuracy of AI output — AI-generated responses, images, or insights will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
• Fitness for purpose — The App will meet your specific requirements or expectations.

08Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CatVerse Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Reliance on AI content — Any decisions made based on AI-generated health guidance, care advice, or other responses from the AI Assistant.
• Data loss — Loss of journal entries, photos, or other data stored locally on your device.
• Service interruption — Inability to access the App or AI features due to technical issues, maintenance, or circumstances beyond our control.

09Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

10Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to other users, CatVerse Lab, or third parties. Upon termination, all licences granted under these Terms will immediately cease.

11Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

12Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before resorting to formal legal proceedings.
